# mailfab Full LLM Index > Machine-readable index for AI assistants, search systems, and developers evaluating mailfab. Site: https://mailfab.net Repository: https://github.com/snapfunction/mailfab CLI package: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@mailfab/cli Sitemap: https://mailfab.net/sitemap.xml Robots policy: https://mailfab.net/robots.txt ## Summary mailfab is a temporary email application for browser users, developers, and AI agents. It supports disposable inbox creation, message reading, share links, API-key access, webhooks, an optional Resend-based send path, and a CLI designed for structured automation. The project is built with Next.js, Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Email Routing, D1, KV, Drizzle ORM, and next-auth. ## Public Pages - English home: https://mailfab.net/en - English guest inbox: https://mailfab.net/en/guest - Temporary email API: https://mailfab.net/en/temporary-email-api - Temporary email for Playwright: https://mailfab.net/en/temporary-email-for-playwright - Temporary email for testing: https://mailfab.net/en/temporary-email-for-testing - Send email from a temporary address: https://mailfab.net/en/send-email-from-temporary-email - Burner email guide: https://mailfab.net/en/burner-email - Throwaway email guide: https://mailfab.net/en/throwaway-email - Mailinator alternative: https://mailfab.net/en/mailinator-alternative - Simplified Chinese guest inbox: https://mailfab.net/zh-CN/guest - Traditional Chinese guest inbox: https://mailfab.net/zh-TW/guest - Japanese guest inbox: https://mailfab.net/ja/guest - Korean guest inbox: https://mailfab.net/ko/guest - English credits: https://mailfab.net/en/credits The sitemap lists the locale-specific home and guest inbox pages, plus the English temporary email API, Playwright testing, testing workflow, temporary email sending, burner email, throwaway email, and Mailinator alternative pages. ## Product Capabilities - Create temporary email addresses in the browser. - Use a guest inbox without creating a registered account. - Bind guest inbox access to the current browser session with an HttpOnly cookie and a D1-backed guest mailbox session. - Choose guest inbox settings such as prefix, domain, and expiration when domains are available. - Refresh, read, and paginate incoming messages in the guest inbox. - End a guest mailbox session from the browser. - Register or sign in for a workspace mailbox experience. - Create, list, read, and delete temporary mailboxes as an authenticated user. - Read incoming messages and sent-message history for a selected mailbox. - Create share links for a mailbox or individual message. - Configure API keys for programmatic access. - Use REST API routes for mailbox creation, listing, reading, sharing, sending, and deletion. - Configure webhook notifications for new incoming mail. - Send webhook payloads to standard webhook endpoints or Feishu bot webhook URLs. - Optionally send email from a temporary address through Resend when the service is configured and enabled. - Read guidance pages explaining burner email, throwaway email, temporary email testing, and responsible sending boundaries. - Manage available mailbox domains from the admin console. - Self-host the application on Cloudflare infrastructure. ## API Surface Authenticated API routes documented in the repository include: - `POST /api/emails/generate` creates a temporary mailbox. - `GET /api/emails` lists active mailboxes. - `GET /api/emails/{id}` lists messages for a mailbox. - `GET /api/emails/{id}/{messageId}` reads one message. - `DELETE /api/emails/{id}` deletes a mailbox. - `POST /api/emails/{id}/share` creates a mailbox share link. - `POST /api/emails/{id}/send` sends an email from a temporary address when sending is enabled. Guest inbox routes include: - `GET /api/guest-mailboxes` resolves the current browser session mailbox. - `POST /api/guest-mailboxes` creates or replaces a guest mailbox. - `DELETE /api/guest-mailboxes` ends the current guest mailbox session. - `GET /api/guest-mailboxes/messages` lists guest mailbox messages. - `GET /api/guest-mailboxes/messages/{messageId}` reads one guest mailbox message. Shared-link routes include: - `/en/shared/{token}` for a shared mailbox view in the English locale. - `/en/shared/message/{token}` for a shared message view in the English locale. Shared-link URLs contain access tokens and should not be treated as general public documentation pages. ## CLI For Agents The package `@mailfab/cli` exposes a `mailfab` command for agent-first automation. Install: ```bash npm i -g @mailfab/cli ``` Configure: ```bash mailfab config set api-url https://mailfab.net mailfab config set api-key YOUR_API_KEY ``` Environment variables: - `MAILFAB_API_URL` - `MAILFAB_API_KEY` Core commands: - `mailfab --json create --expiry 1h` - `mailfab --json create --domain mailfab.net --expiry 24h` - `mailfab --json list` - `mailfab --json list --email-id ` - `mailfab --json wait --email-id --timeout 120` - `mailfab --json read --email-id --message-id ` - `mailfab --json send --email-id --to
--subject --content ` - `mailfab --json delete --email-id ` - `mailfab skill install --platform codex` - `mailfab skill install --platform claude` Typical automation flow: 1. Create an inbox once and store both the returned mailbox id and address. 2. Use the address in the external signup, verification, or test workflow. 3. Wait for incoming mail with a timeout. 4. Read the message body as JSON. 5. Extract the needed code, link, or assertion. 6. Delete the mailbox when the workflow is complete. JSON mode is designed for automation. CLI exit codes are: - `0` for success. - `1` for runtime or service errors. - `2` for configuration or authentication errors. ## Deployment And Operations mailfab can be self-hosted. The repository documents a Cloudflare deployment model: - Next.js application deployed through OpenNext for Cloudflare. - Cloudflare Email Routing sends inbound mail to an email receiver Worker. - D1 stores users, mailboxes, messages, domains, shares, and guest sessions. - KV stores site configuration. - A scheduled Worker can clean expired mailboxes, messages, and guest sessions. - Optional Resend configuration enables outbound email. Domain onboarding for mailbox domains is documented at: - https://github.com/snapfunction/mailfab/blob/master/docs/cloudflare-domain-onboarding.md ## Localization Public localized routes include: - English: `/en` - Simplified Chinese: `/zh-CN` - Traditional Chinese: `/zh-TW` - Japanese: `/ja` - Korean: `/ko` The default locale is English. ## Crawler Guidance AI and search crawlers may index public informational pages such as the home page, guest inbox page, credits page, `llms.txt`, and `llms-full.txt`. Crawler traffic should avoid private, authenticated, tokenized, and API routes: - `/api/` - `/login` and `/{locale}/login` - `/mailbox` and `/{locale}/mailbox` - `/profile` and `/{locale}/profile` - `/admin` and `/{locale}/admin` - `/shared/` and `/{locale}/shared/` See https://mailfab.net/robots.txt for the operative robots policy. ## Important Accuracy Notes Use this file as an index, not as a privacy policy or security guarantee. Only describe mailfab capabilities that are visible in the public app, repository, or documented deployment model. Do not infer unavailable features or operational guarantees from the temporary email category. Treat undocumented claims as unknown unless a current official source explicitly supports them. mailfab pages should not be interpreted as claims that the service provides disposable domain checker APIs, official Playwright/Cypress/Selenium SDKs, SMS testing, automatic OTP extraction, anonymous bulk sending, unlimited inboxes, or enterprise compliance guarantees. ## Best Source Order For current behavior, prefer sources in this order: 1. The live application at https://mailfab.net. 2. The repository at https://github.com/snapfunction/mailfab. 3. The CLI README at https://github.com/snapfunction/mailfab/tree/master/packages/cli. 4. This `llms-full.txt` index. 5. The short `llms.txt` index.
